Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri has been a popular Indian actress who achieved fame for her role in the film Hum Aapke Hin Koun as well as Beta Saajan. The actress began her career in the 1980s and came into prominence thanks to her character in the film Tezaab in which she was a part of the cast alongside an established actor Anil Kapoor. Her next film was the movie Dil In which she shared the screen with Aamir Khan. In the beginning, as a teenager in the middle class of Mumbai, she began to learn how to dance. While still a teenager she attempted acting, but the majority films she attempted to make were unsuccessful. She finally found success, and became one of the most prominent actors in the Indian film business. Following her marriage she had an absence from the industry before returning to the business. Dixit played an important role on Gulaab Gang, a film focused on women's struggles in India. Dixit is nominated in 15 Filmfare Awards. Of these she's received 8. Padma Shri was awarded to Dixit, the fourth most prestigious civil award in India. She is known for her work in the field of social service as well.
