MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The singer has been able to make major international advancements into Latin pop culture. Una Lady Como Tu, his hit from 2016, won the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017 for the Best Song. His debut album ADN was issued in 2017 by La Industria Inc., an Medellin-based Sony distribution company. In the Top Latin Albums chart, it ranked no. 8. The following year, he collaborated with Ozuna for the creation of Vaina Loca which reached number five on the Top Latin Albums chart. The group released Dopamina the chart-topping second album, in the year following. In 2021 he produced a duet for TINI's hit track Maldita Foto. A 2023 release of 2000 featuring the mega-hit La Bachata. Turizo was raised in the musical home of his family. Both his older brother and mother are also musicians. According to him, musicality was a fundamental part of his life. When a young boy, he studied the guitar as well as the saxophone. Although his first choice of career was becoming a vet, His brother Julian convinced him to take lessons in singing with a Cuban teacher and the end result personally discovering his talent as a singer altered the course of his life.
