Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson, was born in Paris France of British parents Jacqueline Luesby Watson and Chris Watson both lawyers. When she was a kid she attended at the Dragon School in Oxfordshire. Emma decided to be an actor when she was six. Over the course of several years, she attended the Oxford branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts part-time school. In the school, she was taught singing, dancing and acting. By the time she turned 10, she had already taken part in a variety of Stagecoach plays and productions. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone is the film from 2001 adaption of J.K. Rowling's bestselling book was cast in 1999. Emma was discovered by agent through the recommendation of her Oxford teacher. David Heyman told Emma along with Rupert Grint, Daniel Radcliffe that they had all been through eight consecutive auditions. The film's release Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001) was Emma's debut on the screen in cinema. This film was 2001's highest production, and it broke records during the opening day and first weekend. The film was praised by critics who praised the film and particularly the younger actors. The Daily Telegraph, an influential British publication, described Emma's acting "amazing". Emma was later awarded five prizes in recognition of her work in the film.
