Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is a Mexican musician who was born into a musical family. As a child, she was exposed to classical music and old boleros. She also listened to the traditional romance ballads as well as ranchero. Ana has a passion for Tangos, opera and any form of dramatic performance. The mother of her child taught her to sing, and she began singing by Flavio Belcerra when she was just 16 years old. his name was known as a famous Mexican opera tenor. At the School of Music of Guadalajara University and the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico continued her music education. In Guadalajara in addition to Mexico City, she was part of numerous opera choruses and chamber ensembles. The year 2000 saw her move to the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2007, she settled in her current home in Southern California. She sings as a soloist Latin American music for private celebrations and in the Ensemble XXI in Redlands. Passion and enthusiasm for arts, music and performing has her participating with a variety of local initiatives as a performer, teacher, and instructor. Ana is also a previous member of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana hopes that with her performance her love of Latin American traditional songs, that she will instill enthusiasm, specifically in the younger generations in keeping the music alive.
